The Tiny MUNCHKIN Steals the Show in Dunkin’s Adorable Christmas Campaign

Whoever said that good things come in small packages was absolutely right; and Dunkin’s holiday ad just proves it by highlighting how much joy a tiny, delicious treat can unlock — both for others and for itself. Teaming up with Artists Equity and BUCK, the coffee and doughnut company brings this heartwarming statement to life, following a tiny MUNCHKIN Donut Hole in a fascinating adventure about the magical feelings hidden in life’s tiniest moments.

Titled “The Little Holiday MUNCHKIN,” the donut hole’s story is narrated by Emmy®-nominated writer, producer, and director Mindy Kaling, whose talent brings an extra dose of holiday warmth to every scene of the tale. The one-minute-long video draws inspiration for its storyline from the eponymous children’s book, which the brand released to coincide with the campaign.

“Dunkin’ MUNCHKINS are a favorite in my house, so this was kind of a no brainer for me,” explained Mindy Kaling. “What I love about this story is how it celebrates the overlooked things that end up being the most special. I’m a sucker for an underdog — and for the holidays — so this book is definitely earning a spot in our bedtime story rotation.”

The book extends the story’s joyful spirit beyond the screens and pages, inviting readers to help children battling hunger and illness. A part of the proceeds coming from the sale of the publication will support Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation, a charitable foundation powered by the brand and the kindness of its franchises, guests, vendor partners, and employees.

“The holidays at Dunkin’ are all about creating moments of joy,” continued Jill Nelson, Chief Marketing Officer at Dunkin’. “We love that one of our tiniest treats gets to be the hero of the season. The Little Holiday MUNCHKIN is a reminder that joy can come from the smallest things — whether it’s a donut-hole treat, a moment of kindness, or a story shared together — all while supporting the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation and the incredible work it does for children and families.”

The campaign follows Dunkin’s holiday lineup featuring packaging inspired by MUNCHKINS® Donut Hole Treats. The illustrations spotlight the donut hole surrounded by gifts, snowy scenes, and lots of similar, cheerful characters. To extend the fun beyond the story, the brand also launched limited-edition MUNCHKINS-inspired merch, giving consumers a playful way to further immerse themselves in the holiday spirit. Oh, and there’s yet one more treat fans are in for: Dunkin’ invites families to make this holiday season even more delicious thanks to the special recipe for MUNCHKINS Bread Pudding the brand included at the end of the book.
